North Dakota offers many great hiking trails, but one came out on top and made Women's Health Magazine's list of the 25 hikes to do in your lifetime.

With summer just around the corner, begin planning a day to spend at the Caprock Coulee Trail located in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

The 4.3 mile-long trail gives you an up close and personal look at the badlands along with a scenic view of the eroded land as you follow the trail to a higher point. Once you reach the grassland portion of the hike, an opening allows you to see the Little Missouri River known as the River Bend Overlook.

The trail takes roughly 2 - 3 hours to complete and is marked moderate - strenuous in difficulty.

After your hike, don't miss out on the opportunity to discover more of North Dakota through one of our most historical cities, Medora.
