A new study ranks North Dakota drivers among the worst in the nation.

Whether you agree or disagree that drivers in our state may not be the greatest, there's now statistical evidence that has North Dakota ranked 10th in the nation for states with the worst drivers. This, according to the insurance company, QuoteWizard.

Determining factors in the study include accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs, citations, and fatalities on the road. The 10th ranking for North Dakota is actually a slight improvement as it's three whole spots better than their 7th worst driver ranking in 2016.

California took the top spot in this years worst driver rankings while our neighbors in Minnesota finished 2nd. They jumped nine spots worse in 2017 from their 11th ranking in 2016. Rhode Island finished 50th which actually means they have the safest drivers. We suppose there's not a lot of room for error in that state.

Be safe on the roads out there, North Dakota!
