Pizza Corner Sold to Minnesota Company, Valley City Factory Closing

Pizza Corner, a frozen pizza brand based in North Dakota, has been sold to a Minnesota company, which will lead to the closing of the their Valley City factory.

For more than 40 years, Pizza Corner frozen pizzas have been made in Valley City and sold all over the upper Midwest.

Bernatello's Food has reached an agreement to purchase the rights to Pizza Corner, effective May 20th. The company will then close the Valley City factory and move production to their facilities in Maple Lake, Minnesota, and Kaukauna, Wisconsin.

According to The Valley City Times Record, Pizza Corner employees were informed of the sale Friday afternoon, March 18th.

If the employees stay with the company through the transition, they will receive a $500 bonus. They will also receive two weeks of bonus compensation for staying with Pizza Corner until the Valley City factory officially closes.

Pizza Corner restaurant, also located in Valley City, will remain open.
