A Series of Unfortunate Events really is going to Get Out with Season 3. Not only has the Netflix drama triple-confirmed that Season 3 will end the series, but new reports place Girls and Get Out alum Allison Williams in a mysterious role that might emerge as early as next week.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Williams will make her first appearance in Season 2, which premieres on March 30. Seeing as the role is nonetheless billed for Season 3, and no details have yet been confirmed about the character, we’d guess that specifics will remain under wraps until closer to the third and final season. On that note – star Neil Patrick Harris has made no secret of the series ending with Season 3, but once again confirmed as much to TVLine:

It was always the plan to do [just] three seasons, which I really liked. It makes me feel like we’re doing a specific piece of art, as opposed to just hoping that the zeitgeist holds us up for as many seasons as people can stomach.

Previously unknown, however, was that the third and final season will consist of seven episodes – one less than the first season, and three less than Season 2. Next Friday’s premiere will cover the fifth Series of Unfortunate Events novel (The Austere Academy) through the ninth (The Carnivorous Carnival), while the third will cover final novels The Slippery Slope, The Grim Grotto, The Penultimate Peril and The End.

We’ll catch a glimpse of Williams when Season 2 premieres on March 30, so check out the full trailer below and stay tuned.
