Sneak Peak at The Williston Basin Petroleum Conference in Bismarck
If you've been around 5th Street and Bowen Avenue, even down to 3rd Street, you'll notice the foot traffic and people going here and there. You'll notice that they are all wearing badges and you'll also notice the big buses. The Bismarck Civic Center is hosting the Annual Williston Basin Petroleum Conference this week. Over 5000 visitors are using Bis-Man's lodging and local eateries! We checked with a majority of hotels in the area, they are booked solid until Saturday while many are keeping a waiting list of people needing lodging. Some convention attendees are having to travel as far as Jamestown and Dickenson, and places in between to find available lodging.
The conference gets underway this afternoon. We got an exclusive look at the conference and exhibits.
Huge outdoor Bar B Que cookers on the outdoor patio getting ready to feed the participants, of course, we did notice beer kegs near by.
The convention floor is buzzing with activities as vendors get ready for the doors to open.
