Now that Super Bowl 48 is in the record books---and what a game it was---I picked Seattle to win, but NEVER did I envision a blow out of 43-8....totally awesome IF you're a Seahawks fan like me.    Russell Wilson--Seattle's classy quarterback has gone to the Super Bowl AND won it all in just his 2nd year in the NFL.  That is pretty awesome, and there are some NFL greats that never even made it to the big game---any idea who these men are??

I found some of the best in the history of NFL who never got to go, and they ARE.....

5. Eric Dickerson – He’s got 13,000 career rushing yards and he is in the Hall of Fame, but he never played on Super Bowl Sunday.

4. Warren Moon – He won 5 Grey Cups--which is the Lombardi Trophy of the Canadian Football League, but never got a chance to compete for an NFL championship when he played for Houston and Seattle in the NFL.

3. Earl Campbell – One of the most powerful running backs to ever wear an NFL uniform, Campbell carried the ball over 300 times in a season 5 different seasons.  But--strange enough one of those seasons ended up with him in a Super Bowl.

2. Tony Gonzalez – This guy was probably one of the greatest tight ends in the history of pro football and get this---Tony was in only one career playoff game. Needless to say, it wasn’t the big game.

1. Barry Sanders – Many believe Barry Sanders is the best running back the league has ever seen. He abruptly retired at age 30, never playing for a Super Bowl ring---could it be because he played for the Detroit Lions??
