Raise your hand of you're a coffee drinker? I thought so!! Many of us can't even try to comprehend getting started with our day without our cup of java! In a story published this week, the Daily Meal published a list of the top coffee chains in America, and lucky us, we have a few here in Bismarck.

A coffee chain is defined as a company that has at least 50 stores or more. Some of these stores have a signature coffee or drinks. I have become a compulsive coffee drinker. There are heath benefits, as with anything moderation is the key.

Here are some of the coffee shops that landed on the list. ( no particular order)

Dunn Brothers Coffee has over 50 stores all throughout the Midwest. This coffee chain strives to be as environmentally conscious as possible, offering 25 cents off all drinks served in a reusable mug or tumbler.

Caribou Coffee (coming soon to Bismarck) simple but offering a variety, like its Ginger Chai Latte and fruity Caribou Coolers, but concentrates on providing high-quality Arabica-only blends. According to Caribou, the perfect cup of java all starts with one thing: the bean.

Starbucks-This java giant has more than 21,000 stores in over 65 countries, allowing it to cater to all kinds of cultures, languages, and taste buds.

I know a few coffee houses that are worth mentioning. In Louisiana, Community Coffee is a local favorite brand that has expanded into the coffee shop business call CC's House. Try the Dark Roasted and it'll be a drink you'll come back for time after time.

If you search locally you'll find Seattle's Best Coffee which offers more robust flavors and brands.

You can see the top 10 coffee shops here.
