17% of men between the ages of 25 and 54 – which are considered prime working years – don't have jobs.  How many guys is that over 10 million.  While many are still looking for jobs, a lot have simply given up their quest for work and are not even looking for a gig! How bad is it out there?  Well 40 years ago in the 1970's, just 6% of American men aged 25 to 54 were without jobs – so the rate has almost tripled since then. (Wall Street Journal)
