Steve Miller Band Brings the Hits to the Bismarck Event Center
If you were hoping the Steve Miller Band would 'play the hits' during their stop at the Bismarck Event Center Tuesday night, you didn't leave the concert disappointed.
Newcomers The Matthew Curry Band opened the show with a sound that closely resembled the likes of Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, complete with guitar chops that would make other guitarists nervous to pick up the instrument.
After a short delay between sets, the Steve Miller Band took the stage and tore through three of their biggest hits to start things off: Jungle Love, Take the Money and Run, and Abracadabra.
The band then spent some time playing some of their lesser known tunes, along with a few covers that featured Matthew Curry back on-stage.
The band then got back to the hits, wrapping up the set with The Joker, Fly Like an Eagle, and Rock'n Me.
For the encore, the band came back out to play another couple of hits, Swingtown and Jet Airliner.
