Istanbul, Turkey has adopted a machine that gives stray dogs and other animals food and water in exchange for recycled bottles.

Curbside recycling has finally arrived here in Bismarck. Waste Management has started distributing 96 gallon totes to residential customers for all your recyclables. Starting on March 31st, Waste Management will start collecting the Recycling bins every other week on the same day they pick up your garbage...

Did you get the letter in the mail asking if you wanted to sign up for the Bismarck recycling program? I did, and we signed up at my house. The Bismarck City Commission  approved the final contract with Waste Management, Inc., to provide a single-sort, curbside recycling program to begin in the spring.
