School Lunch

Last night during the School Board meeting, the Mandan School District voted to raise the price of lunch in its schools $.15 for the upcoming school year.

Up to 40 kids at Uintah Elementary School in Salt Lake City, Utah, had their lunches taken away from them and thrown into the trash on Tuesday because they—or, rather, their parents—had outstanding balances on their account.

Four out of 10 high school girls do this most days, while fewer than three in 10 boys follow suit. What is it?
