If you’ve ever dropped your food on the floor or maybe the ground and then picked it up within five seconds, you’re probably going to live long and prosper because a new study says the five-second rule is actually real and totally works.

It turns out that the longer your food stays in contact with the floor, the better the chances of it picking up nasty funky germy stuff like a little E.coli.  But, of course, you still need to think before you decide to eat it.  Let's say If you drop a slice of pizza cheese-size down in a bus station restroom, it’s got to stay there.
