I love this time of the year---there are NHL games, Major League Baseball games, and the NBA playoffs are in full swing and sports fans across the country are watching to see if league MVP LeBron James will win his second championship in as many years.

Whether you love or hate him personally, it’s hard to argue that he’s a unique talent – a guy unlike anything we’ve seen in a long time.

If he keeps playing at this level, he could end up being one of the greatest sports champions of his generation.

To add some perspective, here’s a rundown of some of the greatest sports champions in recent years:

Michael Jordan - With six NBA titles and five league MVPs, Jordan is the greatest champion sports has seen since the early ’90s.

Tom Brady – He’s got five Super Bowl appearances (three wins) and has been voted to eight Pro Bowls.

Kobe Bryant – His five championships and fierce focus as a competitor make him one of the all-time greats.

Derek Jeter – Five World Series titles, 13 All-Star appearances, 3,000 hits, and the nickname “Mr. November” for his postseason heroics … You can’t ask more from a ballplayer. (Uncoached.com)
