Nowadays, people can’t make breakfast without posting a picture of it online.  I'm not that way---I post pics from time to time, but not every few minutes.  I have this thing called "a life."  How about you?

But all this oversharing to sites like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, are making people into Approval Addicts … and, yes, that’s a real thing.

This syndrome occurs when you don’t feel you can go through your day without getting constant positive feedback on all your activities, and this affects more people than you realize … and probably even you.

People are treating this addiction like they would any other and have even incorporated its treatment into the 12-step program model.

So, next time you’re about to snap a picture of your high score on your Xbox, you might want to stop and think about why you’re doing it. (A New Mode)
