Sorry, it's late, but it took a day for me to recover ... Here's an official recap of the show.

Last Wednesday, the big show rolled into town and having seen my share of concerts over my lifetime, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical, and boy was I wrong.

Don Felder formerly of the Eagles opened and luckily, he wrote a lot of their hits because he performed them for about an hour, which was a great surprise. After he left us standing up for what seemed like 20 minutes, REO hit the stage and jumped right into 'Don't Let Him Go,' 'In Your Letter,' and 'Keep Pushing' back to back. Kevin, the lead singer, told a great story on how they played one of their first gigs in Minot which was pretty sincere and before they rolled into 'Can't Fight This Feeling,' which was pretty magical. They ended their set covering Tom Petty's 'Listen to Her Heart' to a standing ovation. If you want to see their entire set-list, here it is on Set list.fm.

Then came the Headliner - Styx!  'Blue Collar Man' was their second song and they covered all their hits, including a pretty awesome cover of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody.' Their two-song encore was great as they finished with a nice version of 'Renegade.' The only downside of the show was that it was on a Wednesday and I had to go to work the next day! Here's Styx's Set-list on Set list.fm.

All and all, a very solid show for the United We Rock Tour!
