They may seem harmless, but there are six words that should never be uttered on a date. They are: "What do YOU want to do?"

These words generally lead to a meaningless conversation that goes back and forth until you're both either too exhausted or too annoyed to start the date.

Dating site HowAboutWe ... offers these tips to avoid those awful words:

Don't go on a date without a plan. Have a back-up plan (in case it rains, the movie is sold out, or other problems that could arise with the first plan).

Instead of asking, "What do you want to do?" suggest two options.

Just make a decision. This means that when presented with the options, do NOT say "I don't care." Just pick one!
If neither of you can make a decision after that, you're probably better off going home and watching TV.
