**UPDATE**NO TRAVEL ADVISORY Issued for the Bismarck-Mandan Area

Traveling is slow going with additional snow being added to the 15-20 inches already fallen last week.

NDDOT has issues a TRAVEL ALERT for all of South Central North Dakota and Northwestern North Dakota including Bismarck, Mandan, Flasher, Linton, Williston, Tioga, Stanley, Bowbells and the surrounding areas. The plows are working the streets and highways, but as the snow continues to fall, streets are getting covered, on top of the sometimes ice in some areas.

UPDATE- 4:30 p.m, NDDOT has issued a NO TRAVEL ADVISORY in south central North Dakota including the cities of Bismarck, Glen Ullin, Selfridge, Steele and Underwood due to strong winds, low visibility, blowing and drifting snow and compacted snow creating hazardous driving conditions. Conditions are such that motorists in this area should not travel.

Update-5:15 p.m., No Travel Advisory extended to Williston and Jamestown areas

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the North Dakota Highway Patrol have extended the No Travel Advisory to include additional areas in northwestern and south central North Dakota due to strong winds, low visibility, blowing and drifting snow and compacted snow creating hazardous driving conditions. Cities included in the No Travel Advisory include Williston, Watford City, New Town, Crosby and surrounding areas in northwestern ND and Jamestown, Edgeley, Gackle, Medina and surrounding areas in south central ND.  Conditions are such that motorists in this area should not travel.

The Travel Alert has been extended to western and north central North Dakota including Dickinson, Minot, Devils Lake and surrounding areas.

UPDATE - 5:58 p.m.- The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the North Dakota Highway Patrol have CLOSED both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-94 from Dickinson to Jamestown with the exception of the Bismarck/Mandan Metro Area due to the roadway becoming blocked with heavy snow drifts at overhead structures and vehicles blocking the roadway. In addition conditions include extreme ice, compacted snow and blowing and drifting snow causing long stretches of icy roads and near zero visibility at times creating hazardous driving conditions.
