Fans of the University of North Dakota are not happy with the school's new mascot and made it known at a recent hockey game.

During a game against Denver on Friday, December 4th, the stadium announcer proclaimed that 'the Fighting Hawks were at full strength,' which was met with a chorus of boos from the UND faithful.

Back on November 18th, the  announced that its sports teams would now be called the Fighting Hawks, after an alumni vote.

The school's original mascot, the Fighting Sioux, was retired back in 2012, due to pressure from the NCAA.

Obviously, some fans are still not happy about that decision.
