Training camps began throughout the National Hockey League this week and the University of North Dakota has produced 29 of those players on official camp rosters.

As KFGO reports, the list of UND's participants on NHL camp rosters includes four players from last year's team: defensemen Gage Ausmus (Colorado) and Tucker Poolman (Winnipeg), along with forwards Tyson Jost (Colorado) and Brock Boeser (Vancouver).

UND's championship team is also well-represented with nine players in training camps. Luke Johnson (Chicago), Drake Caggiula (Edmonton), Nick Schmaltz (Chicago), Keaton Thompson (Anaheim), Paul LaDue (Los Angeles), Drake Caggiula (Edmonton), and Troy Stecher (Vancouver), along with the aforementioned Ausmus, Poolman, and Boeser.

Last year was a record-setting season for UND products on NHL teams with 22 total (11 made their debut).
