Luke Johnson, a member of the championship University of North Dakota Hockey team this past season has signed an NHL contract.

Johnson was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2013. He chose to forgo his senior season at the University of North Dakota and signed a 3 year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Johnson finished this season with 11 goals and 21 points and he is the fourth player from this year's junior class to skip out on his senior season to join an NHL team.

Keaton Thompson signed with the Anaheim Ducks, Troy Stecher has joined the Canucks and Paul LaDue is a member of the Kings.
