Break-ups can be painful and stressful, no matter how long you've been together. But that doesn't mean there aren't some positive aspects:

Losing weight. People tend to lose weight when they're feeling down -- going through a break-up means eating alone more, which leads to shedding some unwanted pounds.

More "me" time. For a while, you may hate the lonely nights, but soon you'll start to relax and enjoy your "me" time. No more fights! No one to cook for or clean up after!

Having the bed to yourself. You'll sleep better without him snoring, fighting over the covers or dealing with the stress of bad relationship vibes in the bedroom.

Making decisions. You'll enjoy not needing to consult with someone about every little decision, like what to eat for dinner, where to go on vacation or what to watch on TV.

Being happier. Even if you miss him, sometimes it's better to be alone than be with someone who makes you feel bad about yourself. Your future is full of possibilities.
