••BISMARCK BOBCATS HOCKEY FRI & SAT at Minnesota Wilderness.   Home games start at 715 at the VFW Center.

 

EVENTS AROUND TOWN:        

 ••Art Workshops For Kids Are On SATURDAYS   Kids 5 years of age and older are invited to the Theo Art School from 130-430pm.  This weekend--- it will be Duct Tape Art.   1810 Schafer Street in Bismarck.

 ••Roaring 20’s Valentine’s Day Bash is on FRI at the Ramkota Hotel on south 3rd.  It’s a benefit for ITEMP and help trafficked, exploited and missing persons.  The event starts at 6 with dinner and dancing until 10pm.  $30 per person.

••”Death By Chocolate,” a benefit for the Girl Scouts is on SAT night from 5-9pm at the Ramkota Hotel on South 3rd.   A full dinner, silent auction and area chef’s chocolate creations.  $40. 

••Live Stand-Up Comedy with Tommy Savitt is on FRI & SAT nights at 8pm at the Dakota Stage.  He’s a multi-award winning comedian winning competitions in Seattle, Boston, L.A. & Chicago.   $15.   Dakota Stage is downtown at 412 East Main downtown. 

••Wanna sing and dance in Medora?  Auditions are on SAT at 11am at the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium on the Bismarck State College Campus.

••”Coffee Talk”—a casual afternoon discussion on contemporary issues is on SAT afternoon at the Former Governors’ Mansion 320 East Avenue B in Bismarck.  This weekend from 2-4pm the focus will be on Facebook.  FREE!!

••Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra is in concert SAT at 730pm at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 601 North 4th Street.  This concert will feature Baroque from Bach and more.  $18 for adults, $10 for students.

••”Home On The Range” Pancake Breakfast is on at the Bismarck Eagle Club SUN from 9am-1pm.  Pancakes, sausage, juice, milk & coffee will be served.  $6 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and younger.  313 North 26th Street.

••For The Presidents Day Holiday---it’s a Library Movie Day MON at 130pm, this week it’s “Planes” rated PG.  FREE.  Bismarck Public Library is at 515 North 5th Street in Bismarck.

••The Movie “City Of Bones” and your chance to rate Chocolate Chip Cookies is on Monday at 130pm for those ages 11-17 at the Bismarck Public Library.  515 North 5th Street Bismarck. 

••Family Story Time is on MONDAY Night from 630-7pm at the Bismarck Public Library.   It’s an evening of storytelling sessions for the whole family.  515 North 5th Street.  FREE!!

••Come & See The Animals!  The Dakota Zoo now has their winter hours and is open FRI-SAT & SUN from 1-5pm weather permitting.    $7 for adults, $4 for children.

 “Robocop” (PG-13)

A remake of the 1987 classic movie.  Set in 2028.  A cop that is wounded in the late of duty becomes a half-man/half-robot crime fighter.  Stars Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Joel Kinnaman, Michael Keaton and Abbie Cornish.

 

”About Last Night” (R)

The story of two new couples who find that their new relationships may not have the substance to thrive in the cold, hard light of day.  Kevin Hart and Regina Hall star.

 

”Endless Love” (PG-13)

Following their high-school graduation, Jade a sheltered but privileged teen, becomes enthralled with David a working-class youth with a troubled past. Though Jade and David fall quickly in love, Jade's father strongly disapproves of the match, while David's father advises caution.  Robert Patrick, Bruce Greenwood, Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde star.

 

”The Winter’s Tale” (PG-13)

A Shakespearian tale—Laurence Harvey stars as a jealous king who repents of his wrongdoings.  The queen is not pleased by his indiscretions.   A bit of romance and sci-fi comes together in “The Winter’s Tale.”
