Who Actually Votes For The Oscar Winners?

With the Academy Awards coming up Sunday on ABC-TV----Gotta question I've been wondering for years----who actually votes for the winners of the Academy Awards that get the cherished "Oscar?"  Well--i did a little research and I finally found out and it was a little disappointing, here's the lowdown:

According to an LA Times study of Oscar voters, the makeup is 94 percent white and 77 percent male, with a median age of 62 years old. People younger than 50 constitute just 14 percent of Academy voters.
