Guys, as a rule, generally hate shopping. Unless it's for a car or tools, there's nothing guys detest more trolling for trinkets at the mall.

But despite an undying hatred of shopping, men are actually the bigger holiday shoppers.

A survey conducted by the National Retail Federation found that over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, men spent an average of $484, compared to women's $317. And in online sales, men spent twice as much as women.

One of the possible reasons for this finding is that men spent more than women because they tend to shop for more expensive items like electronics.
