In a vote last week, the Williston City Commission had rejected a proposed 73 unit townhouse complex.

Code Estates LLC was seeking the permission to build the development, and provided the commission with signatures of residents in the area that were for the new development.

Williston Mayor Howard Klug says that the project would be "too dense" for the area. There was also concern from some residents that it would turn into a crew camp for oil field workers, increasing traffic in the area.

With housing so hard to find in the area, do you think that the City Commission's reasons for denying the permits made sense?
