Wind Advisory Friday for the Area

A system moving through the area will being with it very strong winds, gusting up to 50 mph on Friday.

We have a mixed bag of weather for the area today. Thursday (2/18) will start as cool and foggy. Warmer temperatures are expected through out the weekend, some areas could reach 60 degrees.

Strong winds 30-40 mph with gusts up to 50 are expected through out the area. The wind advisory includes the areas of

• Bismarck
• Mandan
• Ft Yates
• Steele
• Jamestown
• Ashley
• New Salem
• Minot
• Dickenson

The wind advisory will start at 9a.m. and continue until 6p.m. Friday. Residents are encourages to secure loose items such as lawn furniture, trash cans and items that can be blown in the wind. The advisory will affect traveling especially for high profile vehicles in open spaces including I 94.
