This is the time of year where we start to get the predictions for the winter season. According to NOAA, the Midwest will be warmer and drier because of the return of El Niño.

If you want a warmer and drier winter, you could be in luck. Last years winter season was mild by most peoples opinion and it looks as though you could get a return of the same for North Dakota.

According to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the winter could be anywhere between 40 and 60 percent warmer than usual. And about 33% drier than usual as the organization published the Winter Outlook for the country this week.

NOAA predicts the northern half of the United States is set for a warmer winter thanks to a powerful El Niño.
