Softball players from around the country will descend upon Bismarck this weekend, as the 39th Annual Sam McQuade Sr. Charity Softball Tournament is set to take place. One team in particular, though, will garner a lot of the attention.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team is set to play in four different games at Clem Kelley:

  • Friday, June 27th @ 6pm vs. North Dakota Military All-Stars
  • Friday, June 27th @ 8:20pm vs. Rec 4 Tournament Game
  • Saturday, June 28th @ 12:10pm vs. Rec 4 Tournament Game
  • Saturday, June 28th @ 8:20pm vs. North Dakota Senior Stars

According to their website, WoundedWarriorAmputeeSoftballTeam.org, the team is comprised of some of our nation’s bravest and most determined heroes, soldiers and veterans. These young extremely athletic men have sustained severe injuries resulting in amputation while serving in the military/war, and through extensive rehabilitation, they have become competitive athletes again.
