Bullying has been a problem for generations and we have yet to have the exact answers to solving it. And, now that social media is so prominent in our lives, it seems like bullying has been amplified more than ever - especially when it involves kids. So, how can kids stand up to bullies these days? There is a selfless man in Minot, providing his time to teach kids how to stand up for themselves and others.

KX News reports that Baron Lloyd is hosting a free summer class, teaching kids how to confidently stand up to bullies. Lloyd, a purple belt who has trained in mixed martial arts, told KX News that students are "going to be doing sparring, grappling, live exercises" and learning to have the self-confidence to handle bullying situations. The outdoor classes are open for all kids and held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Getting bullied can be a traumatizing experience. Back in April, a high school senior in Jamestown was assaulted on camera at school! After that happened, Valley News Live interviewed the victim and his father - both people were holding back tears as they spoke about the incident.

Even if bullying incidents are not always caught on camera, they are more common than we even realize. And kids should be equipped with the tools to be able to stand up to bullies.

If you and your kids happen to be spending some time in Minot this summer, maybe you can take a class from Baron Lloyd.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
