According to KFYR-TV, the Burleigh County Sheriff's has released a statement warning the public of several reports of Suspicious Activity and Fraud. In other words, people trying to take your hard earned money.

The scam is people requesting money for a "summer fun run", that is reported being sponsored by the Salvation Army. The sheriff's office has confirmed that the Salvation Army is not collecting donations for a "summer fun run", and this is a scam.
