It was cold, it was wet and it was delayed for 2 hours in the hopes the skies would clear, but that did not happen as the die hard runners turned out for the Annual Beefin it Up, Fuel for the Finish Run this morning in Mandan.

Even with all of mother natures best try, the runners showed up and the races went on. Plus, if you know a runner, they are definitely passionate about their sport, so a little cold weather, wet rain with a start time temperature of 32 degrees, including the strong wind would not prevent those runners from hitting the road.

The event was a fundraiser for the NDCW to purchase educational books regarding Beef and Agriculture for elementary schools statewide. Today's race was open to everyone, from dedicated athletes to individuals who just want to get some heart-healthy exercise.
