Don’t Have A Cow North Dakota, Biden Isn’t Coming For Your Beef.
Over the weekend, I saw several Facebook posts like this from friends.
There was an article in a British tabloid, (that should've been your first red flag) with a false narrative stating that President Joe Biden's new initiative to cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, included cutting down Americans to one hamburger a month.
Apparently, that number was conjured up from the tabloid after a study from the University of Michigan examined how reducing red meat consumption could cut diet related emissions.
According to an article on Mass Live, President Biden hasn't cooked up any mandates concerning red meat consumption. The assumptions of the Daily Mail tabloid are false. What's kind of humorous, the Daily Mail article, insinuated all of this, and Biden's emissions reduction plan hasn't even officially been released yet. A whole bunch of assumptions from a tabloid that's well known for not exactly reliable reporting.
No doubt, President Joe Biden's carbon emissions reduction plan will include investing in green infrastructure. That includes renewable energies, sustainability in homes and other buildings and ramped up fleets of zero carbon vehicles. However, you can search the internet high and low and you will not be able to find anyone in the Biden administration calling for red meat limits or forcing you to buy an electric vehicle or electric heat pump.
If we did indeed have a limit of a 1/4 pound of burger a month, can you imagine the impact on our cattle ranchers in North Dakota? Pretty sure I ate 3 times as much beef last night alone, after we feasted on a very delicious roast.
No need to have a cow North Dakota, no mandates on how much beef we can eat yet anyway. Kind of sounds like something communist China would do. Wait a minute.
