Even With SDSU Win, The Jacks Backseat To North Dakota State

Yeah, we know, the South Dakota State Jackrabbits Are National Champions.

SDSU roughed up NDSU in Frisco, Texas last weekend 45-21.  In fact, South Dakota State has won 3 straight games against North Dakota State.  Something that doesn't sit well with Bison fans all over the state of North Dakota.

Looks like Bison fans get the last laugh though.

National championship apparel and memorabilia are being flooded into stores all across South Dakota.  Shirts, hats, sweaters, sweatshirts, and other memorabilia all to celebrate the Jackrabbits crushing victory.  However, it looks like somebody forgot to double-check their order.

Details are sketchy but this whiskey barrel top keepsake, which was supposed to celebrate South Dakota States' first-ever FCS championship went terribly wrong.  Here's a look at this gem.

Unless South Dakota State is in the process of changing its nickname?

I suppose that is a possibility, but I'm thinking somebody screwed up in a big way.  These whiskey barrel tops showed up at least one store in South Dakota yesterday.  It's unclear if they actually ended up on the floor or not at this unnamed store but I'm guessing they didn't.

Either way, what a slap in the face for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits fans all across South Dakota.  Meanwhile, Bison fans all across North Dakota are jumping in their vehicles as we speak to try to score one of these before somebody catches on.  This would be fun to have in your mancave or garage for sure.
