Frontier Airlines started a service in May of 2012 that many people in Bismarck enjoyed but that service is coming to an end on January 5th, 2015.

According to the Bismarck Tribune, Frontier Airlines is suspending its service between the two cities next year.

“The decision made by Frontier is unfortunate for Bismarck and the region. However, we are optimistic that Bismarck’s market is strong enough to regain seasonal service during peak travel times,” said Greg Haug, airport manager. “We will provide more information regarding the potential of Frontier returning on a seasonal basis as information becomes available.”

In order to compete, Frontier has simplified its fare structure in order to become an ultra-low-cost carrier.
