Mad Max’s Weekend in 5 Pics (June 27-29, 2025)
Fair Food and Friday Fun
Hey there radio family! I wasn't pet sitting this weekend but kept busy regardless. On Friday, I had a live broadcast from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Upper Missouri Valley Fair in Williston. After the remote, I got to try some food and went for Korean Chicken from Flava. The teriyaki flavor was delicious, and I also enjoyed their Hawaiian pasta salad. I definitely recommend trying their food at Summer Nights on Main when they’re there!
BBQ Party at Ace on Saturday
Saturday brought another live broadcast, this time at Williston's Ace Hardware and Flooring from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. They hosted a Red, White, and Blue BBQ party featuring food made on Blackstone and Traeger grills. Customers got to taste samples of smash tacos, smoked pork, baked beans, and apple dump cake for dessert. I tried some too, and it was so good!
More Fair Time
After Ace, I headed back to the Williston fair to check out the 4-H exhibits. I was hungry again, so I grabbed a corndog and tried Sips Energy's Walking Waffles. The waffles are shaped like French fries, and I picked the Salty & Sweet option with chocolate sauce, peanut butter, Reese’s Pieces, pretzels, and homemade whipped cream.
Sunday Station Time
Sunday was a quieter one, I spent the day at the radio station working ahead on some things since I’ll be leaving for vacation on July 4th.
Vacation Countdown Begins
On July 4th, I’m heading to England and Scotland for ten days, so this will be my last Weekend in 5 Pics for a few weeks. After that, I’ll be off to Minnesota for the St. Paul Yacht Festival, a 3-day music fest on Harriet Island. Can't wait to share all the adventures when I get back!
