BisMan Golfers-Do You Obey By All The Proper Golf Etiquette? The "Unwritten Rules?"

That's a very simple question, yet there are many people who will go out of their way to avoid it. You may have noticed the picture I used for the cover of this article - dress codes are a HUGE part of most golf courses around the country, not so much here in Bismarck and Mandan.

Dress codes for men and women 

For Men, it's a standard collared shirt, golf pants ( NO JEANS ), Golf shorts ( NO WACKY BEACH SHORTS )  -  this is rarely enforced out here In BisMan - private country clubs will demand it - the majority of golfers who tend to be "Weekend Golfers" are often seen wearing a T-shirt and shorts.

For Women:

Collared shirts and skirts that are appropriate in length. The keyword here is appropriate. The woman on the cover is Paige Spiranac - she played golf in college, and her claim to fame now is really as a spokesperson and model for the sport. Some debate has arisen over the low-cut outfits, some say it's improper golf etiquette. Manner of opinion, you might say.

Mostly though, you learn as you get out there and play with others - "NO TALKING" - you'll notice that right away if you are chatting up a storm when someone is about to hit. My favorite rule is - Don't take yourself TOO seriously - and DON'T take twenty minutes sizing up a two-foot putt!
