The elegance of the evening, coupled with powerful stories, live entertainment, games, and inspiring moments, brings a unique blend of hope and urgency. It's a reminder that even in the midst of beauty, we can unite to confront the darkest realities and fight for freedom and a brighter future for every life touched by human trafficking. Yesterday I had a chance to stop by and sit down with Stacy Schaffer - Founder and executive director - and administrative assistant Laura Buchholz of 31:8 project - both charming and motivated. Human trafficking is a world MOST of us have no clue about, and those that are aware, tend to try and turn their heads away. EXTREMELY delicate and damaging.

One such survivor was in the room with us for a bit - Nikki - She is in their Human Trafficking Survivor Mentorship Program, Should you attend this special event, you will hear her amazing story of strength.

Watching the movie "The Sound Of Freedom" last year gave me a glimpse of the true horrors of human trafficking - this is what we all saw in the comfort of home or the theatres - however, Stacy told me what it doesn't show - this crime can and does happen all around us, and places you would never expect. In the hour I spent with these two amazing people, I could their passion and desire to help others.
