I am going to start out by saying this - "Ho-Ho-Ho...Merry July"

This is a story that is IMPOSSIBLE  not to love. Think back to December of last year, of course, we had snow on the ground, I mean where do you think we are, California? Robyn Backman over on Indiana Avenue was disappointed for only a minute, you see she has 50 x-mas collectibles that were poised and ready to decorate her yard. Robyn made a decision right then and there that she would have "Christmas in July".

Sure enough, true to her word, the 5th of July rolled around...

...much to the delight of her neighbors, Robyn strategically began placing the holiday inflatables around her whole front yard...

...this whole month has been filled with the sounds of cars passing by honking and common sights of smiles from every age. My questions were pretty obvious last night when I talked with her on the phone- she has been flooded with positive responses from her neighbors, and ONLY once in a while, someone will ask "Why are you doing this?" -a simple reply back will always be "Because I couldn't do it in December"

Robyn has no problem with people driving by and taking in the "July" spirit - but hurry because she is planning on taking everything down NEXT weekend ( the 22nd/23rd )

This is what appeals to me the most...

...what Robyn and her husband Travis have done by putting out their early cheer, is to remind us all one thing -  Never lose sight of the magical time of year when people slow down for a couple of days and embrace friends, family, neighbors, and our community - As for me, Robyn and her display recharged my battery and put a smile in my heart.
