Is November 1st the New Start of Christmas in North Dakota?
That's not a far-fetched question to ask at all
A friend of mine and I were talking about this today. How soon will people put up their Christmas tree and decorations here in Bismarck and Mandan? We JUST got through another Halloween night on Friday, and people were already starting to decorate their yards with Christmas cheer. So let's all leapfrog past Thanksgiving, I guess, right?

Is November 1st the unofficial starting date for Christmas trees and decorations?
Believe it or not, I have a friend in San Diego, California, who has his Christmas tree up all year round - in his living room. The weather is just a tad warmer out there, and the temps are usually in the high 90s, so I'm thinking the fake snowy white tree might bring him some "Wintery relief". So you know the old expression - "To each is his own" - Getting back to North Dakota, is November 3rd too early to put up your tree? Our sister station Hot 975 put up this question earlier today on their Facebook page." One of the replies was "Already did, November 1st."
The majority of the answers to the question above were "Thanksgiving" ...." Day after Thanksgiving"
This place has such a great tradition...
Stevens Family Christmas Trees - 1205 E. Expressway has always been there for Bismarck and Mandan to stop by and pick out a fresh beauty.
"Our family has owned and operated the Christmas tree lot on the corner of 12th and expressway behind H&R Block since 1973. We are proud to be a staple of the Bismarck community."
So listen....Merry Christmas!
