I’m Convinced – North Dakota Does Not Want Us Living Here
It's taken me about 11 years to come up with that conclusion
I had no idea what I was facing when I moved to Fargo, North Dakota, over 11 years ago - you see, I was moving from San Diego, California - average weather out here in the low 70s pretty much all year round. People to this day ask me, when they find out where I'm from, "Why did you come out here? Did you rob a bank?" - The answer to that is always a firm "NO" - It's no secret that the two States are extremely different.
Put it this way, IF you can golf every day of the year, then it's a perfect place
Well YES and NO to the above sentence. The weather almost perfect, however NORTH DAKOTA IS "NORTH DAKOTA NICE" and I'll take that every day of the week. This is no secret to all of us out here, Mother Nature can be quite punishing - you have to be pretty tough to survive her winter punishment, I mean I never knew what cold was until that first day I walked across the street with no gloves on in -26 degrees - yikes.
So we all eventually thaw out, our summer rolls in, and then BOOM, watch out for hail ( the size of golf balls ) and of course what we saw here in Bismarck and Mandan for two weeks in a row - tornado warnings for real - that blew my mind. So MAYBE North Dakota doesn't want us to live here, BUT I don't care - I love it here.
