Every time I hear the words "Escape From Alcatraz," I can't stop thinking about Clint Eastwood

He, of course, is the actor who portrayed one of the three prisoners who literally escaped from one of the prisons thought to be "inescapable" in the early hours of June 11th, 1962. Where did this famous incident happen? According to foxnews.com "The Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary was a maximum-security prison on Alcatraz Island, located just over a mile off the coast of San Francisco, Calif."  Until that famous day, almost 64 years ago, the prison had 14 attempts at escape, and "... Nearly all of the attempts ended with the inmates’ recapture or death."

Did they ever find out what happened to the three escapees?

Maybe, just maybe, they wound up living unnoticed in Bismarck or Mandan? The three men I have been talking about are Clarence Anglin, John Anglin, and Frank Morris.

Check it out, many people believed that two of the three men who left the prison that night may have wound up living in North Dakota for a while. According to Inforum "A 2013 letter allegedly from escapee John Anglin claimed that he, his brother Clarence, and Frank Morris survived their 1962 Alcatraz escape and that he lived in North Dakota (specifically Minot and Fargo) for eight years between 1990 and 2005 before moving to Southern California. The U.S. Marshals have not confirmed this claim, though the case remains open."

It is now 2026 - and these three men were never accounted for, no bodies, only rumors of false reports.
