OUR Bismarck Bobcats Road To The Robertson Cup Finals
An unbelievable season continues for OUR Bismarck Bobcats
Under first-year coach Garrett Roth the Bismarck Bobcats are about ready to experience a trip back to the Robertson Cup Finals - the last time was back in 2016 when they reached the semifinals. 15 years ago, the Cats won the whole thing, beating the Fairbanks Ice Dogs 3-0. This Friday night at the Fogerty Ice Arena in Blaine, Minnesota, they will take the ice against Rochester Jr Americans
Their best season record in their franchise history
An incredible season - their best overall record in their franchise history ( since 1997 ) - they finished at 49-14. The road to the Robertson Cup Finals hasn't been an easy one - the first round of the playoffs, they found themselves literally with their backs to the wall, down 0 and 2 in the series against the Aberdeen Wings - 3 wins later, the Austin Bruins came into town.
Another nail-biting start to the second round of their road to Blaine, Minnesota
After getting past the Wings, once again they found themself with home ice advantage, this time taking on the stubborn Austin Bruins - the Cats lost the opener, and then took the second game - now another road trip. This one proved successful as they plowed through Austin on Friday night, and wrapped it up with a convincing 7-2 win.
Here comes OUR Bismarck Bobcats - seeded #1
How about that! Seeded number # 1 In the Robertson Cup Playoffs - a best 2-out-of-3 series begins this Friday night @ 4:00 - you can hear all the action on our sister station, Supertalk 1270 AM - if all goes well, OUR Cats will be playing for the Robertson Cup Title next Tuesday night! Go Cats Go!
