Methodology

To uncover the most haunted casinos, we developed a haunted casino score based on:

• Ghost Sightings in the Region: We found reports of ghostly encounters in each state, with higher sightings contributing to a higher haunted score.
• Sentiments in Reviews: Analyzing Google reviews, we quantified instances where visitors mentioned words like "spooky" or "haunted."
• Google Maps Rating: Lower star ratings contributed to the score suggesting that perhaps not all visitors left due to bad luck.

We analyzed a list of casinos from Casino Avenue.  A total of 824 casinos were scraped and analyzed. The higher the score, the more haunted the casino.
