I remember this like it was yesterday - growing up in San Diego, California, not everyone had a swimming pool - fortunately for us, we had one in our neighborhood - when the weather turned HOT, this friendly neighbor would raise this colorful looking flag high in the air signifying that we ( everyone ) could come over and use the pool! The hospitality was well received, trust me. No need for that here in North Dakota in 2025!
