Chick-Fil-A Name Surfaces in Minot City Records
It appears the Hardee's on South Broadway has closed for good, and now Chick-fil-A's name has surfaced in city development records for that same address.
We first reported earlier this year that the location had gone dark, and discovered photos and videos from Minot residents showing the inside stripped bare - no chairs, no tables, no decor. This is the kind of cleanout that one would expect with a massive remodel or permanent closure.
The location's Facebook page still remains somewhat active, but on the Hardee's website, it's listed as closed. With little to no mention from the business about whether it would become operational again, it left many Minot residents curious about what was going on with the restaurant.
Chick-Fil-A Under Review For Development
Now, Minot's development review minutes list Chick-Fil-A as "Under review" for development in that 2000 S. Broadway location.
After further investigation, we also found that Brokers 12 Real Estate had also posted to Facebook, hinting that this was in fact in the works. While nothing is finalized at this point, it seems that wheels are turning, and Chick-Fil-A could very well be opening soon in Minot.
As of right now, there are Chick-Fil-A locations in the following North Dakota cities:
(2) - Grand Forks
(1) - Bismarck
(2) - Fargo
It was also recently announced that a new location will soon be opening in Williston, so if this Minot location does go through, that will put us at 7 total locations in North Dakota. Check back with us for more updates in the coming months.
