4 Different Pumpkin Colors You’ll Find in North Dakota This Fall
You might be planning to pick up some pumpkins this weekend to do a little carving with the family this weekend. That's fun, but many North Dakotans have decided cleaning out pumpkin guts isn't the most fun activity, so we paint and decorate our pumpkins instead.
Did you know different pumpkin colors have meanings? If you see colorful pumpkins on North Dakota porches, you should probably know what the colors signify. To help, we've put together a list for you.
Pumpkin Color & Their Meanings Explained

1. Teal
While out trick-or-treating with your kids this year, you may notice some teal pumpkins on some Bismarck-Mandan doorsteps. According to Yahoo, this color pumpkin often signals that the residents give out non-food treats to be safe and inclusive for trick-or-treaters with food allergies.

2. Pink
If you see a pink pumpkin around Bismarck-Mandan, it's often a sign of support for Breast Cancer Awareness. In fact, if you paint your pumpkin PINK and upload a photo to Hot 97.5, $1 will be donated to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation.

3. Purple
Purple pumpkins often show support for those affected by epilepsy and encourage dialogue about the condition.

4. Green
If you see a green pumpkin, it is likely unripe and not fully developed. This color doesn't necessarily signify anything, but it sure does look cool.
Those are just a few of the different colored pumpkins you might see out on Halloween night, but I'm sure there will be many more.
