Any time you see a closed sign on a store window, you panic. You think, "No, it can't be closing, this is my favorite place." While I'll admit, I had to pause for a moment of fear after seeing a sign on this Bismarck store, I quickly realized it would actually be a good thing, and that it's not going away.

You may have seen this post on the Kirkwood Mall's Facebook page. If not, I'll give you the scoop. Our American Eagle clothing store is temporarily closed.

Why? - Because it's undergoing renovations. That's right, this longtime Kirkwood Mall store is getting a fresh look. We don't know exactly when the store will reopen, but rest assured, it will be back and better than before.

You may notice that the Kirkwood Mall has been making a ton of changes lately. Trade Home Shoes closed, Zumiez moved, Eddie Bauer closed, Moshi Taiyaki opened, and we even saw that the 5 Second Rule Bracelet moved in near JCPenney's.

In a time when many malls all across the country are closing and struggling, it would appear that the Kirkwood Mall is thriving. I think I speak for everyone in Bismarck-Mandan when I say we are beyond happy about it.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Kirkwood Mall and the reopening of American Eagle.
