We all love to indulge now and then and get a quick, hot meal from our favorite fast-food restaurant. That said, there are some things that people do in North Dakota drive-thrus that really get on our nerves.

I posted a question on Facebook, asking, "What are the most annoying things people do in the drive-thru?" North Dakotans fired off their opinions.

One of the first comments we got was this:

" As a former fast-food employee, when people come through the drive-thru and pay with change."

Personally, I can't keep track of dollar bills, let alone change, so I can't relate to people who pay this way. I do get the frustration. It's a lot of counting, math, and it holds up the line. At the same time, I know people are doing their best to make ends meet, and if all you have is change, so be it.

Another comment:

"When they get to the window and don’t have their payment ready, when they're on the phone, just to scratch the surface lol"

There's nothing like the panic that overcomes you when you can't find your card fast enough, but I do get this. You knew what you were doing before you pulled up to the restaurant. pull off, before you get into line, get your payment situation sorted out and get off the phone.

One comment I totally relate to:

"When they make you pull forward for one item."

There's this new thing at fast-food restaurants: they just hand you your drink and tell you to pull around. While I know it may be efficient for the business, it really does feel unnecessary for small orders.

Last comment:

"No straws, no napkins and they forget the salsa."

I get it, if you don't have a way to drink your fountain soda, a way to wipe your face or a way to spice up your food, that's pretty annoying.

I'll also add, that if a person asks for not just ketchup, but extra ketchup three times and you don't put a single packet in the bag... ooh prepare for a fight.
