NDDOT Introduces New & Improved Travel Map
Earlier today (Wednesday, February 25th), the North Dakota Department of Transportation announced on Facebook that a new snow plow map is now active on their website and app.
Introducing a new and improved travel map! Now you can see each plow's location and look out their windows as well - giving you a better view of conditions all across North Dakota.
People poured on the praise in the comment section of the post, hailing the North Dakota road map as one of the best and most user-friendly road maps in the country.

There was one criticism in the comments that I have to agree with. A woman stated that she loved the map, but wishes it would tell you which plow was where. As you know we have funny names for all of our snowplows in town. She said her son would love to know if they were traveling behind "Darth Blader" or "Plowabunga," just for their own personal enjoyment.

Plow Map Improvements
Prior to this only a third of the state's 352 snowplows could share location data. All snowplows are being upgraded this winter. They also changed the legend and made it easier to see the highway numbers.
If you want to take a look at the new and improved plow map go to travel.dot.nd.gov or get the free NDRoads app.
