The Super Bowl is coming up next Sunday, and many of us are planning our parties, stocking up on snacks and beer, and getting ready for a night of suspense and entertainment. Before the big game kicks off, there are a few things you should know.

I'll admit it and put it right out there in the open. I know nothing about football, but I do know a thing or two about parties and get-togethers.

To help your Super Bowl party go according to plan, here's a list of 4 things you should never do at a gameday party in North Dakota.

1. Commercials

Many of us who are not into football, look forward to one thing: the commercials. For the love of God, don't talk during the commercials. If you must, do so quietly. Super Bowl ads are the most creative and strange pieces of marketing in existence. Let us see!

2. BYOB

It's likely that the person hosting the party may have a big stock of beer, it's never North Dakota nice to assume you can help yourself. Bring at the very least your own six-pack.

If not beer, at least contribute to the party by bringing some extra snacks.

3. Emotional Outbursts

Look, we all get excited and swept up in the excitement of the game, but if you're sore loser and start throwing tantrums about your team losing or try to break a TV when your team loses, you will not be invited to any gameday party ever again.

4. Drink, Drank, Drunk

Don't start puking before halftime. No one wants to babysit a grown person, and you should at least keep a mostly clear head until after the halftime show. You have to see how good/bad it turns out. I'm sure you'd hate to miss the next Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake moment. - You never know when it could happen.

Those are just some of the things you should avoid doing during this year's Super Bowl, hopefully you can avoid these and have a great time watching the game.
